Welcome to Outreach!

Mission Statement
The purpose of the Outreach Ministry Area is:

  • To develop and provide opportunities for St. Andrew’s members to reach out to “the least of these” in our community and to the world in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • To promote peace with justice in our church, or community, and throughout the world.

Appalachia Service Project

Vision Statement
The Outreach Ministry Area is will provide mission opportunities for members of St. Andrews’s United Methodist Church by:

  • Encouraging financial support to missions, and directing the funds for special and Holiday Mission offerings, and the Hovis Fund, to appropriate ministries, charities, individuals and agencies.
  • Promoting personal involvement in mission opportunities for giving, and active mission service, through Community Dinner, Festival of Sharing, Church World Service Programs, Unicef, Collection, UMCOR Appeals, and support of mission trip opportunities for youth and adults.
