Nurture Ministry Area Mission:
The Nurture Ministry Area mission and the mission of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church are essentially the same: To invite all persons to grow and share in a joyous relationship with Jesus Christ and with one another that we may become God’s faithful disciples serving in this community and in the world.
To accomplish this mission, the Nurture Ministry Area is involved in reaching out to the community, developing ways to invite and encourage people to join St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church and conducting activities within the St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church community of believers that encourages and fosters Christ centered fellowship and Spiritual growth. To accomplish our mission, we need help. As you can see from the listing of our projects, which is not all inclusive, this Ministry Area is very involved in the life of the Church. We need the help of everyone, not just the Nurture Ministry Area members, to accomplish our goals.
We are involved in many areas of our Church life. Some areas have Nurture Ministry Area Members assigned to coordinate the task, as shown in the chart entitled "Some of Our Areas of Ministry." Others, such as those listed below, are under our work area and are from our budget.
- Responsible for the printing of prayer request cards and St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church brochures in conjunction with church office staff.
- Preparing and updating the Church Directory
- Provide Upper Rooms, Care Notes, Alive, and other literature for our Church family’s devotional life
- Develop and maintain New Member Handbook
